I would say that overall I played an equal part in the
process of making the music video. I starred in some of the shots and also gave
an input of ideas as to what we could shoot. I think we worked good as a little
team and all gave ideas as to what we could do. Before we began we didn’t
really have much of a plan and we sort of came up with ideas as we went along.
All we did was decide on the song and the person we were going to have in the
video and then we went to start shooting. As we visited different locations we
came up with more ideas. When collecting the footage, we used one of our group member’s
phones as we thought it would be the simplest and easiest way to do it. When
arranging performers, we used somebody else who wasn’t in our group as the main
actor and then some of us in the group helped out in some of the shots
including me. When it came to actually editing the footage, because it was shot
on an iPhone we used the iMovie software as it was easy to just transfer the
footage across and it was quite easy to edit. Overall I was quite pleased with
the finished product as we had limited time, I think it was quite humorous and
it had a feel good vibe to it. We didn’t quite manage to include all of the
things we were given but we did manage to have things like a 360 shot. If we
were to do the task again, I would develop a better plan at the start of the
process so we know exactly what we’re doing and there isn’t any time being
wasted.
